A Birstall pub reopened on Friday 8 June following a six-figure refurbishment, creating eight new jobs, including the appointment of an assistant manager.
As part of the investment, the Pheasant on Gelderd Road which is owned by Greene King, has introduced a lighter colour scheme with tiled walls, signature pieces of furniture and fresh, contemporary flooring.
The bar has also been completely refurbished, with the introduction of a wider selection of local and national ales, plus world beers. The alfresco dining patio area has also been improved.
Ryan Elston, general manager at the Pheasant said: “Being a part of this refurbishment has been a really exciting time for me and will have many benefits for the local community. The Pheasant is at the heart of the Birstall community, so we are excited to be able to offer a place where locals can enjoy a drink or meal in enhanced surroundings.
“The opening was a real success, with great feedback from guests on the delicious menu and the fantastic interior. We look forward to welcoming more guests in the coming weeks!”
The pub has unveiled a delicious menu featuring a range of great seasonal dishes and traditional Sunday roasts. Guests can enjoy any two dishes from our great selection of Pub Classics for just £10.49, including favourites such as Hunter’s Chicken, Beef and Ale Pie, and Greene King’s signature Yorkie Wraps. The venue also offers a wide selection of drink deals, such as selected beers for £6 which includes Corona, Peroni and Budweiser, as well as Pimms pitchers for £8.99 and double up on all spirits for £1.50.
